Cerro de la Cruz is undoubtedly one of the main viewpoints in San Gil. It’s a hill with a cross monument at the top that provides a great panoramic view of the pueblo..
Also, it’s considered a religious spot with a monument dating from 1888 when a mission of the Jesuits left a wooden cross as a reminder of passage through San Gil. In 1989, the wooden cross was replaced by the current concrete cross/monument.
